Lt. Gregory Augustine Long
Lt. Long was traveling to Okinawa, on assignment for the US Army. He was being accompanied by his parents. The Longs had tickets on TWA Flight 69 for St. Louis, and had accepted the Allegheny offer to transfer to Flight 853 instead.
Lt. Long left behind his wife, Jane, and a 13-month-old daughter, Stephanie Jane.
