James Mathes Dreyer

born in St. Louis, 3 January 1927

Mr. Dreyer was returning from a business trip to Cincinnati at the time of the crash. He was president of the Lewin Mathes Co., which sold reclaimed textile waste to paper mills.

He had graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1949.

On August 25, 1969, just 15 days before the crash, Mr. Dreyer's 16-year-old niece, Lisa Bry, had been killed in a car accident on the west side of St. Louis.

A graduate of Washington University, he left behind his wife, Patricia (married 12/2/50 in St. Louis), a daughter, Lynn (18), and sons Jeffrey (16) and Joseph (14).
